About Us

Welcome to DeMary Memorial Library!

Since 1958, this site has been the heart of reading, educational research, and community engagement in Rupert. The land and building were generously donated by A.C. DeMary, a local land surveyor at that time. Additionally, our initial collection of books was sourced directly from his personal library.

Here you can learn about the Library, our Board of Trustees, the Friends of the Library, review minutes from previous board meetings and much more.

Need a Library Card? Just bring in two forms of ID like your driver’s license or utility bill, as long as they have your current address on them. If you live within the Rupert City limits, you’re all set for your card with no additional fee. However, for those living outside city limits there will be a charge.

Anyone, card-carrying patron or not, are welcome to come in the Library to use the computers, read, play board games, join Storytime, or any of our FREE programs!

Looking for programs? Check out the options below! This is not a comprehensive list, but is updated periodically. For real time updates, please follow us on Facebook and Instagram!
